The 2023-24 Vipers Fastpitch travel softball teams for ages 8-18
The 2023-24 Vipers Fastpitch travel softball teams for ages 8-18, based in Southern Illinois is currently hosting individual tryouts in Carlyle, IL. The Vipers Fastpitch Organization is a 10 year old organization with three first place finishes in 2023 along with 60mph+ pitching, .385 team batting average, combined starting pitching of 1.1 ERA, over .600 winning record, great team attendance and family oriented players / families. Attendance at practices / games will be strictly enforced to help the team improve.
Year round training with breaks during the Thanksgiving / Christmas period. Tournament play in Fall and Summer season are expected to be throughout Southern Illinois / St Louis Metro area. Season ends at Nationals or World Series each year for the past 4 years (even during Covid). Double headers, practice / scrimmage games are local with lighter travel. Indoor batting cages hosts access to lessons, camps and practices during off season. Discounts are available to players for one-on-one pitching, catching and hitting lessons. Oliver is left-handed, both hitting/throwing.
6 years REC Ball (3rd-8 grade) Infield, pitcher, a little of outfield.
Last year, one season of (spring/summer) travel team, 25 games; (Cancel 2 tournaments with no players in IA and KC)
this year, Oliver’s try-out at CBC;
Earn a spot, but family had a vacation (Feb.10-17th) before the tryout (Feb. 19-22nd)
Oliver’s told the coaches I’m missed one week work, but checking Oliver’s grades, after the tryout, Oliver had 2.49 out of 2.50 - CBC allow their player’s minimum 2.50 GPA and coaches’ cut Oliver…. Today, May 2nd, his GPA is 2.8-2.9 GPA.
